FAQs
Branding & Logo Design
How do I know if I need a new logo?
Most logos have a lifespan of around 5–8 years before they benefit from an update or redesign. If your business has grown, changed direction, entered a new market or simply feels outdated compared to your competitors, it may be time to refresh your brand.
Can you redesign my existing logo?
Absolutely. We can update and modernise your existing logo while retaining the brand equity and recognition you've built over time. We refer to this as a brand evolution. In some cases, however, a simple refresh isn't enough. If your logo no longer reflects your business, audience or market position, a complete redesign may be the best solution. We'll provide honest advice and recommend the approach we believe will deliver the strongest result.
How long does it take to design a logo?
Most logo projects take around 4–6 weeks from briefing to final delivery. This allows time for research, strategy, design exploration, presentation and revisions.
How many concepts do I get to choose from?
We typically present up to two carefully considered logo concepts. While many ideas are explored behind the scenes, we only present the concepts we believe are the strongest fit for your business, audience and brand strategy.
How many revisions are included?
By the time we present a logo concept, a significant amount of research, strategy and design exploration has already taken place behind the scenes. We don't present dozens of rough ideas and ask you to choose one. Instead, we refine our thinking and present the strongest solution we believe is right for your business, audience and objectives.
That said, we understand that clients may wish to inject some of their own personality and preferences into the final design. Minor refinements such as colour adjustments, typography changes and other small tweaks are all part of the process.
What if I don't like my new logo?
Design is subjective, and it's important that you're proud of your new logo. At the same time, effective branding isn't just about personal preference. A logo also needs to resonate with your audience and support your business goals.
We'll work closely with you throughout the process to achieve an outcome that balances strategy, creativity and your feedback.
Why does logo design cost what it does?
A logo is one of the most important investments you'll make in your business. It's often the first thing people see and one of the last things they remember.
The cost of logo design isn't simply based on the time it takes to draw a logo. It reflects the research, strategy, experience, creative thinking and problem-solving that happens behind the scenes. A successful logo needs to communicate the right message, appeal to the right audience and remain relevant for years to come.
When you consider that most businesses will use their logo every day for 5–10 years or more, the cost of a professionally designed logo is often one of the most cost-effective investments a business can make.
For example, a $2,500 logo used over 8 years works out to around 85 cents per day. That's less than the cost of a cup of coffee over the same period, yet your logo will represent your business every single day.
I've heard I can get cheap logos online?
Absolutely. There will always be cheaper options available. The difference lies in the process.
When you hire a professional designer, you're not just paying for the final logo. You're investing in experience, research, strategy, market understanding, creative thinking and craftsmanship. We take the time to understand your business, your audience and your goals to create a logo that is built to last.

Can AI create my logo for much less?
Yes. AI can generate logo concepts quickly and cheaply. However, AI relies on existing imagery, patterns and information, which can result in designs that feel generic or resemble existing brands.
A strong brand identity requires strategy, originality and an understanding of your business, audience and market. AI can be a useful creative tool, but it doesn't replace thoughtful brand design.
There is also ongoing discussion around ownership and copyright of AI-generated artwork. Depending on the platform used, there can be uncertainty around who owns the final design and whether similar versions may have been generated for others. Most businesses would rather avoid these risks and invest in a logo that has been thoughtfully created specifically for their brand.
Do you create brand guidelines?
Yes. We can create brand guidelines to help ensure your brand is applied consistently across all touchpoints.
Some businesses require a simple style guide covering logo usage, colours and typography, while others need comprehensive brand guidelines that extend across marketing, signage, digital platforms and internal communications. Because every business is different, brand guidelines are quoted on a project-by-project basis.
Can my logo be trademarked?
While we don't provide legal trademark advice, we can design logos with originality in mind and discuss trademark considerations during the design process. If trademark protection is important to your business, we recommend seeking advice from an intellectual property professional.

Most standard websites take between 4–8 weeks from project commencement to launch. Larger, more advanced or content-rich websites may take longer depending on the scope, functionality and amount of content involved. This timeframe includes planning, design, content integration, revisions, testing and launch.
How much does a website cost?
Every website is different, however most projects start from around $3,500. The final cost depends on the number of pages, functionality and overall project requirements.
Do I need to provide the content?
Not necessarily. We offer a turnkey website solution that can include copywriting, content planning and the supply of professional stock imagery.
This means we can manage most aspects of the project on your behalf, allowing your website to be designed, built and launched with minimal time and effort required from you.
Alternatively, some clients prefer to provide their own content or existing marketing material, which we can refine and incorporate into the website.
Can you modify my existing website?
While we can review your existing website, we generally recommend a rebuild rather than modifying or working around an existing website.
A fresh build allows us to create a cleaner, faster and more modern website without being constrained by outdated themes, plugins or code. We can retain and migrate your existing content where appropriate while giving your business a completely refreshed online presence.
